N'hésitez pas à me laisser vos commentaires.
Update: You can now also view my web site in english. Freshly translated.

Dora at the Midway fun park in Ottawa
December 8th 2006 won't go to history without being remembered... at least for me.
For a previous visit to the Midway fun park in Ottawa, I was made aware that Dora the Explorerwas coming on December 8th. If you have a young kid, you probably know or at least heard of who Dora the explorer is. She is famous in our house, no doubt, for our young Jérémie 2 and a half year old.
So I decided that I would bring him back to Midway for the occasion and maybe bring a friend along, for more fun.
By the beginning of that week, all was pretty much arranged for Marie-Lou to join us for a Dora-Midway adventure. And all an adventure it was!
There was a line-up to get in, a line-up at the cash, a line-up to get into the jungle gym!
At first I went into the jungle gym with both, all an exercice. But after that, they made it clear they would like to get the tubes without me. I thought, why not?, I was seeing a lot of other kids the same age by their own. I was following them on the floor up there in the tube. Suddenly, can't see them anymore. Wait. Alright, I'm getting back in there. Found Marie-Lou short after, but where is Jérémie?
I got out of the tubes with Marie-Lou but still hadn't located my son. I thought, no panic, he can't go very far. The jungle gym is closed in environment and you need to buzz the front desk to get out. Plus because there wass so much kids that day, a clerk was at the door all time.
let's search for him. He must be close by. One turn around the jungle... two turns... ten turns... Ok. I start to worry. What if he was able to get by the door with a moment of inattention by the clerk? Ok, I'm worried. I'll ask him if there was always somebody by the door. "Yes, but it is very busy and we are short of employees maybe..." Ok, now I'm really worried. I tell him I lost my child and if he could help me out.
Two of them start to look around. I had showed a fresh picture of Jérémie I had took just 10 minutes before. Will help. One of them goes into the tubes looking for him. Still couldn't find him...
At the point, I was really worried... And then, I see one of the employee coming back with Jérémie in his arms! Oh thanks god! I was SO happy to see him again!
That was a lot of emotion for one day. No arguing.
After a moment to calm down, we stayed there. Dora was only expected in the after noon. We had lunch (for which we had again to wait in line). When Dora arrived, it was a complete chaos. Kids we all going to Dora and ignoring the line up, which by the way was hardly identified. That created some tension between people... At one point, we kids were tired of waiting in line all squeezed up, so we decided to quit and go back home for a same Dora adventure, watching an episode on TV!
Over all, it was fun.
